When you buy something, you expect it to feel good, look good, and last. At Hook and Eye UK, we feel the same way—quality matters! That’s why we’ve built a manufacturing process that focuses on quality from start to finish.
Here’s how we do it:
1. It All Starts with Great Materials
We only work with trusted fabric suppliers who provide the best quality materials. Before we begin making anything, we inspect what we receive to ensure it meets our standards. We also have certain fabric protocols, for example, all our Fabrics are REACH compliant (REACH compliant fabrics are materials that adhere to the European Union's REACH regulation, restricting the use of harmful chemicals).
2. Clear and Careful Processes
Every step of our production process is carefully planned out. In addition to our comprehensive tech packs (see an example of a tech pack below), we create clear instructions and guidelines for every single sample and bulk production item which further outlines any important changes/aspects that need implementing. This ensures each product is made the right way, every time.

3. We Check Along the Way
Instead of waiting until the end, we check our work during the process through detailed imagery provided by our construction team. If something’s wrong, we fix it immediately, saving time and avoiding waste.
4. Always Looking to Improve
We believe there’s always room to do better, clothing manufacture is still a human-made process. We continuously make small changes to our process that lead to an ever-improving system.
5. Everything Is Tracked
We keep careful records of every step so that we can quickly find the answer if there's a question. Every tech pack is updated with a dedicated ‘Development Changes’ section which is dated. It helps us stay organised, honest, and efficient.
