Our tech pack & design sessions will give you industry-leading tech packs that you can use to create a fashion brand.
In every tech pack & design session you work alongside one of our designers, on a one-to-one basis online via Zoom or in person in our studio. We do all the drawing and technical work while advising and helping you through the entire session by sharing our expertise and honest advice.
After every tech pack & design session you will have the tech packs you need for sampling and bulk clothing production. In these sessions we design exactly to your needs across a wide range of garments. These include dresses, t-shirts, trousers, cargos, joggers, swimwear, basic underwear, hoodies, tops, basic outerwear, etc.
We'll also create simple graphics if needed and give full access to our range of 80+ pre-developed garments to use as base shape to design around (if needed).

A. Every style and colorway has its own tech pack.
Main info points:
Brand name, style name, SKU code, shipping country, coloured technical drawing, graphic application type/size/code, custom back new label/print, custom care label/print, fabric / trim composition and weight, fabric colour/s number/s and coding, number of graphic applications, sample size, bulk production units required, base pattern size, specification date, black and white technical drawing with annotations on construction and trim requirements, lining construction drawing (if required), reference imagery for fit reference and construction references, basic measurements, trim requirements, digital pattern information, construction guidelines and any other supporting information required.
A. A tech pack is the full 'blueprint' or 'recipe' guide to instruct everyone in the sampling and bulk manufacture chain exactly what you want your garments to end up like. It's used for costing, pattern cutting, fabric procurement, graphic application, sample/bulk construction, quality checks etc. It vitally important because it acts as a contract between you and your manufacturer and enables you to query anything that doesn't come back as stated by the tech pack (that's not been discussed with you during the construction process).
A. The tech pack and design session is a one on one session with our trained designer, they will create the tech packs in front of you while discussing every detail of the design. You will come out of the session with industry standard tech packs for each item, this will allow you to proceed to costing, sampling and bulk manufacture. No good manufacturer will work without full professional standard tech packs. As Hookandeyeuk only manufactures to premium quality levels we only manufacture to tech packs created in our sessions as the session acts as guidance as well as the creation of the full tech packs. Our sessions are designed to ensure that you completely understand everything that you are requesting/ agreeing to, understanding is the key to a great tech packs (and great samples).
A. We send a super simple guide that has everything we need for you to be fully prepped for the session when you purchase. You will have already discussed your needs in depth with one of our initial brand contact team members (we do not let anyone book until all your needs are understood). Your initial conversation about requirements is done through sending reference imagery / simple mockups to our WhatsApp and having conversations about your needs. The most important thing for a successful tech pack and design session is for you to have reference garments with you that you love the fabric/fit or detailing of. Showing these to our designer really helps speed up the process! Graphic formats are really important too. For any simple text or logo graphic to have the best quality garment application we need the digital format to be provided in vector (files ending .svg, .esp or .ai) but don't worry we're happy to see if we can convert from the highest resolution files for you have and if you're using a pre-made font we'll simply quickly mockup in session (as long as you can provide us with the font name). If you have a large image based graphic all you need to do is email over to us in 300 DPI (or the highest you have) with transparent background so we can check if the image quality is good enough. That's all everything else we do for you!
A. There is an MOQ of 30 units per design/colour. (This gets higher with the complexity of your design). To go into bulk manufacture you must have a minimum of 2 designs, this could be one garment in two colour ways or two separate garments.
A. 4-8 weeks + shipping (This time assumes that you have already been through the sampling processes with us). If you are a returning customer and you want to re-order stock, we can usually shorten this time frame.
A. We have an integrated manufacturing team based in China.
A. We understand that budgets vary, so we offer a range of different tech pack design sessions for fashion brands of all sizes. You can find our different design session packages here.
