Why Choose Us
At Hook & Eye UK, we are a UK-based expert team dedicated to helping founders build high-quality clothing brands with confidence. We specialise in high-quality custom cut-and-sew solutions, guiding you from initial concept through to bulk production delivery.
Our process begins with professional tech pack design, where we translate your ideas into clear, production-ready specifications. We then move into sampling and sample development, ensuring every detail is refined before you scale. Once approved, we manage your full bulk production with clear communication and quality control throughout.
We proudly offer a low minimum order quantity of just 50 units per style, making it accessible for start-ups and growing brands to launch without excessive upfront investment.
Sustainability is also at the core of what we do. We prioritise responsible manufacturing options, ethical production standards, and eco-conscious fabric choices wherever possible.
What truly sets us apart is our live, one-to-one tech pack and design sessions. Unlike traditional services, we create your tech packs live with you, alongside an industry-trained designer — ensuring clarity, collaboration, and precision from the very start.
With Hook & Eye UK, you gain more than a manufacturer — you gain an experienced partner in building your brand.

Our Manufacturing Process
At Hook & Eye UK, we follow a clear, structured process to take your activewear brand from concept to completed production with confidence and clarity.

1. Design & Tech Pack Consultation
Every project begins with a live consultation led by an experienced activewear tech pack designer online. During this one-to-one session, we develop your designs into detailed, production-ready tech packs including measurements, fabrics, trims, construction details, and branding placement. Creating your tech packs live ensures accuracy, efficiency, and alignment before moving into sampling.
2. Sampling & Prototyping
Once your tech packs are approved, we move into sampling and prototyping. Every sample is first thoroughly reviewed by our internal team to check construction, measurements, and overall quality before being sent to you.
After you receive your sample, you’ll be invited to a free one-to-one development session with our experienced garment developers. During this session, we review fit, performance, and finishing details together, discuss any refinements, and update your tech pack accordingly.
Once all adjustments are finalised and approved, your styles are fully prepared to move confidently into the bulk production stage.

3. Quality Assurance
Before and during production, strict quality control measures are applied. We review stitching, sizing consistency, fabric performance, and finishing to maintain high manufacturing standards and protect your brand reputation.
4. Production & Delivery
Once approved, your order moves into bulk production (with a low MOQ of 50 units per style). After final checks, your garments are carefully packed and delivered, ready for launch.
Our streamlined process keeps you informed, supported, and in control at every stage.
FAQs
Q1: What services do you offer as an activewear manufacturer in the UK?
At Hook & Eye UK, we provide end-to-end custom activewear manufacturing services. This includes live design consultations, professional tech pack development, sampling and prototyping, garment development reviews, quality assurance, and full bulk production delivery. We support brands at every stage — from initial concept through to finished, ready-to-sell garments.
Q2: Do you support tech pack design?
Yes. We offer live, one-to-one tech pack and design sessions with an industry-trained designer. During these sessions, we create your tech packs in real time, ensuring your designs are clearly structured, technically accurate, and fully production-ready before sampling begins.
Q3: Do you offer custom activewear manufacturing?
Absolutely. We specialise in fully custom cut-and-sew activewear manufacturing. Every garment is developed from scratch to your specifications, including fabric selection, fit, construction, trims, and branding. We do not supply generic stock products — everything is tailored to your brand vision.
Q4: Can you support startups with low minimum order quantities (MOQs)?
Yes. We offer a low MOQ of just 50 units per style, making it accessible for startups and growing brands to launch without excessive upfront investment. Our structured sampling stage also allows you to refine your product before committing to bulk production.
Q5: Are your manufacturing processes sustainable?
We prioritise responsible manufacturing practices, ethical production standards, and eco-conscious fabric options wherever possible. Our structured development process helps minimise waste, and we focus on producing durable, high-quality garments rather than fast-fashion volumes.
Q6: How long does manufacturing typically take?
Timelines vary depending on design complexity and order size. Sampling typically takes 4-8 weeks, followed by bulk production which is generally 4-6 weeks once approved. We provide clear timelines at each stage so you can plan your launch with confidence and transparency.
